I've spent most of my life teaching and making things. Over the years, I've worked with students of all ages, from preschool and elementary school through high school and adulthood. Woodworking has become a place where those two interests meet.
I'm especially drawn to traditional hand tools, green woodworking, and making useful things from wood. I've had the opportunity to take classes with Christopher Schwarz, Peter Follansbee, and Kenneth Kortemeier, whose work and teaching have helped shape my approach to the craft.
I started Kinderwood in 2017 as a way to share woodworking with others. Today, it brings together my interests in furnituremaking, hand-tool woodworking, and education. I believe there's something deeply satisfying about learning a skill, working with your hands, and making something that lasts.
